I'm a recent university graduate, currently doing research in a science lab, working with cutting edge technology for gene editing. Outside of school/work, I enjoy reading(currently obsessed with Malcolm Gladwell’s work), practicing yoga, jogging, volunteering as a first aider, and watching women’s MMA as well as men’s boxing. I am a proud owner of a black belt in Tae Kwon Doe; despite not having practiced for a couple years, I still have great enthusiasm for the sport and quite a few decent kicks under my belt(excuse the pun xD).

I’m the girl next door type of girl. Not very comfortable with wearing lots of makeup or very revealing clothing. I go for dresses, skirts, or gym clothes when I’m not at work. I don’t have tattoos or body piercings. I love being physically active and love trying new sports. I would love to go skydiving someday; it would be such a thrill. Once I got frostbite from skiing despite an “extreme cold weather warning”. I do try to cook and eat healthy, but would never say no to a fine dining experience accompanied by fine company and ending with cheesecake for dessert.

I've been told that I'm a very funny person. I'm a bit shy and nervous when I first meet someone but act like a goofball and make lots of jokes around people I'm more familiar with. I love being around people who inspire me and can teach me things. I love men who are passionate, easygoing, and well versed. Well written messages and profile are very attractive. I'm pretty open to new things, because I live by the rule that I should try everything at least once before deciding that it's not for me.
