There are lots of options, but I wouldn't want to do anything that's expensive. I wouldn't want you to think I'm trying to buy your affection. Nor would I want you to get the idea that you are obligated in anyway to me; so I would like to do anything simple (e.g. shopping at the mall, spend a little time socializing at a coffee shop, or have a quick breakfast at a local restaurant. Maybe just take a short walk in one of the local parks. There are lots of things we could do on a first date (if it really needs to be called a date) to just get a chance to know a little bit about each other while we're simultaneously spending time on another activity.
